First Executive Centre has been in business for more than 30 years. The company was founded in 1983 by Gordon and Beth Lennard. Gordon earned his MBA at Harvard University, and Beth graduated from the University of Toronto. They started First Executive Centre as a division of Lennard Corporation, a commercial real estate service, realizing there was a need for a professional business centre in the heart of downtown Calgary. First Executive Centre is located at 2900, 350- 7 Avenue SW, in the heart of the financial and energy sector. Adjacent to this location, First Executive Centre opened a new location in 2012 at 404- 6th St SW, in the old Bank of Canada building. First Executive Centre has renovated both the second and third floors in this historic building, and has provided each floor with its own unique character. Both locations are still owned and operated by the original founders. This has provided First Executive Centre and its clients with continuity and stability throughout the past three decades.
First Executive Centre has consistently maintained competitive rates throughout the years, and has a very low client and staff turnover rate. We have clients that have been with us for a number of months, and some that have been with us for many years. We believe this illustrates our credibility and commitment to providing our clients with the best possible services. First Executive Centre is constantly striving to exceed clients’ needs and to better assist them with all of their business-related requirements.
We believe there should be a connection between companies and their community. While creating economic value is a priority for all companies, companies should also create value for their community. The community’s needs should be linked in some way to a company’s needs. That is why First Executive Centre believes it is extremely important to be part of one’s community. We are members of various local organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Theatre Calgary, the Petroleum Club, Calgary Family Therapy Centre, Global Workspace Association, among others. We are also supporters of the Salvation Army. Furthermore, we serve as the head office for a Canadian non-profit organization, Osu Children’s Library Fund. Founded in 1990, this charity has as its mission to bring books and literacy skills to Ghanaian children and adults. First Executive Centre handles all of its accounting pro bono.
